Getting to Know Our Church

← Back to Home
Our Church is a family of Christians that practices the biblical purposes of worshiping God (John 4:24), preaching the gospel (Matt. 18:19-20), growing in the Christian life (Eph. 4:14-16), the fellowship of believers in love (2 Cor. 5:14), and Christian service in the world (Col. 3:23). The style of worship that characterizes our Church is conservative. We praise the Lord with choruses, psalms, traditional hymns, as well as any other praise whose lyrics and music lift the spirit in worship and are in accordance with biblical teaching (Eph. 5:19-20). Our service is in Spanish, and our membership is multinational, made up of brothers and sisters from various countries. Our programs address the development of the purposes our church upholds and cover the care of infants, children, youth, married couples, adults, and the elderly in their spiritual life and development. Our Church is affiliated with the Miami Baptist Association, as well as the Florida Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. THIS WE BELIEVE: 1. That the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired by Him and without any mixture of error. 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21. 2. In One True and Triune God — Creator and sustainer of the universe. God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divinity but distinct in personality. Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14. 3. In the Fall of Man. Man was created in holiness, but through his voluntary disobedience fell from that state, passing his condition as a sinner on to all humankind. Gen. 1:27; 3:1-7. Rom. 5:12. 4. In Salvation by Grace. Salvation is God's gift to mankind through the death of Christ to pay for the sin of every human being. John 3:16; Eph. 2:8; Phil. 2:6-7. 5. In Repentance from sin and Faith in Christ as personal Savior. This is the action man owes to God upon learning the way of Salvation. Mark 1:15; Acts 3:19; 16:31. 6. In Regeneration, which is the new birth that the Holy Spirit works in Man. John 3:3; 2 Cor. 5:17. In Justification, which is the position of being forgiven that God places us in through the work of Christ that we have accepted. Rom. 5:1, 9. In Sanctification, which is the progressive work that draws us near to God and separates us from evil. 2 Pet. 3:18; Eph. 4:12-13. 7. In Election unto good works according to God's foreknowledge of how each human being will use their free will. Eph. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:2. We do not believe in predestination unto salvation. John 3:16. 8. In the Perseverance of the Saints, according to which the truly regenerated will not lose their salvation, but will remain until the end. John 5:24; Eph. 4:30; 2 Tim. 4:18. 9. In a New Testament Church, formed by the congregation of baptized believers united in the faith of the gospel. Matt. 16:18; Acts 2:41-42. In Baptism by immersion of the regenerated believer. Rom. 6:4; Gal. 3:27-28. In the Lord's Supper as a beautiful symbol of the Lord's body and blood for the baptized believer. 1 Cor. 11:23-30. 10. In Christian Stewardship — God owns all that has been created, and we are stewards of our time, treasures, talents, and other aspects of life. We practice tithing and offerings as part of our worship. 1 Cor. 4:2; Mal. 3:8-10. 11. In the Second Coming of Christ, along with the resurrection of the dead, the millennial kingdom, and the final judgment. Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7; Matt. 24:30-36. In the Lord's Day as the first day of the week, which should be set apart for worship of the Lord. Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2. 13. The Complete Separation between Church and State. After this earthly life, there is an eternal life with two destinations: Heaven and Hell. Matt. 25:46. 2. Man is a sinner, and this condemns him before God. Rom. 3:23. 3. God loves you and prepared a plan to save you. John 3:16. 4. Jesus Christ was sent by God to pay for our sins through His death on the cross. Rom. 6:23. 5.
